WaywardBreed is the familiar or counterpart to Melbourne songwriter Justin
Avery. After several years playing in bands such as The Spoils (who
recently completed their third European tour), Wayward finally convinced
Avery to start listening to his low murmurs of despair, to transcribe and
give voice to his twisted tales of human metamorphosis, unrequited
passions, and obsession with animals.

WaywardBreed is sweet folk hiding in a dark room, a beautiful sound from
an ugly black bird with bad intentions.

Avery has said: "WaywardBreed has been roaming around in my
background for years, pacing like a caged animal, whispering his words into
my ear, goading me into taking him on. I ignored him for a long time. Then
about a year ago, in a foreign city, with everything crumbling to dust, he
finally broke through my skin… he’s the animal to my human…"

WaywardBreed has/have completed his/their first album "Rising
Vicious". He/they return to Europe late April 2010 to tour Germany,
France, Norway and The Czech Republic.

LeonTopia is laid-back acoustic music. Once thoughtful then
hopeless, once political then autobiographical - but always
with soul and addiction stories from real life are told.
After longtime experiences in several rock bands Leon
Warnke decided to realize his songwriting-ideas singlehandedly
for now. Out of typical singer/songwriter-songs on
the guitar in the course of time the unique LeonTopia-sound
arised: Exclusively with acoustic-guitar and vocals you get
calm ballads, but also grooving, forward-pressing songs to
hear, while they all list over to rock music and therefore
escape this folk-corset. The songs partially are supported by
electronic backing-tracks.
In May 2010 the first EP called Nightmares was released. It includes four
songs which are a part of
the at the end of 2010 forthcoming albumof dreams and nightmares.
The EP was realized in collaboration with Christoph Schreiner who ist

I’ve known Lars for the past 10 years or so, we played in the
same band for a while and went to school together for three
years. During this time it was always more or less clear to me
that he had that special ability of writing catchy songs without
over-complicating things, maybe partly thanks to the fact that
Lars considers his older brother to be more important to him
learning how to play music than any teacher we ever had in
music school.
So when Lars told me that he was going to record some new
songs we decided to take the next step with our small label
Häleri and make his debut album our first proper release. We
all hope that you'll like it.

Lars Ludvig Löfgren is a member of Swedish indie punk act
Aordable Hybrid as well as a former member of Holmes. After
leaving Holmes in 2005 he started to focus on his solo career,
which usually meant no more than three shows a year and a
couple of demos. That was until January 2009 when he started
doing live shows more frequently in Sweden and Norway, now
together with a live band with four other members.
Lars is a fan of eclecticism; he doesn't go into details, but for
journalists I guess he wouldn't be disappointed if his music was
referred to bands such as Lemonheads, Swervedriver and the
Ronettes. On September 24, 2009 his debut album Heterochromia
is released on Häleri.

Christian Freimuth
Singer-Songwriter-Musik mit gekonnt formulierten deutschen Texten: Voll
kluger Betrachtungen und großer Gefühle bewegen sich Christian
Freimuths Lieder zwischen den großen Weisheiten des Lebens und
kleinen, sehr persönlichen Alltagsempfindungen.
Fünf Alben seiner so genannten „berührenden
Wohnzimmerfeuerwerke“ hat er bereits aufgenommen – ein großes
Repertoire für einen Musiker, der scheinbar am liebsten in seinen
eigenen vier Wänden spielt.
War sein bisheriges Werk vor allem von Melancholie und Traurigkeit mit
kleinen Hoffnungsschimmern am Ende des Tunnels gezeichnet, lassen die neuen
Songs das Licht heller werden. Freimuth findet die Leichtigkeit und singt
von Aufbruchsstimmung und Sinnsucherei. Die Musik dazu tut ihr
Übriges, um dem Hörer auch diese Seite des Lebens nahe zu
bringen.
Das aktuelle Album „Richtung Leben“ hat Christian Freimuth dort
eingespielt und aufgenommen, wo seine Musik zuhause ist. In seinem
Wohnzimmer. So direkt, persönlich und authentisch wie seine
Live-Auftritte. Seit er 2005 zum ersten Mal solo mit deutschsprachigen
Songs auftrat, präsentierte sich Christian Freimuth seinem Publikum
bisher höchstens einmal pro Jahr. 2010 scheint das anders zu werden.
Das Konzert im Prinz Willy ist nicht das erste in diesem Jahr, aber
überhaupt das erste Christian Freimuth Konzert in Kiel.

Introducing David Celia, based out of Toronto, Canada - a world class
musician who has played for audiences all over Canada.

With regards to his musical style, it has been described as
"roots-rock with hints of folk wrapped up in a pop package".

Flawless 3 and 4 part harmonies are usually the first thing that audiences
are drawn to in the live set but ultimately it's the songwriting that gives
the music a timeless feel.

David has received plenty of radio play on CBC Radio in Canada as well as
on the BBC in the UK, featured recently on Radio2's highly regarded Bob
Harris Show.

In Dec. 2006, David had the pleasure of being asked to play
sideman/guitarist with legendary country-rock music innovators, Ian and
Sylvia Tyson at a rare performance in Toronto(Hall of Fame Induction). He's
since been featured on the new Colin Linden produced "Quartette"
record

David earned kudos from EMI Parlophone artists The Divine Comedy when they
asked him to open up for them in Toronto.

In July '07, David played Canada's historic Mariposa Festival(before
Gordon Lightfoot). He also recently played Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne
opening for Elvis Costello and Badly Drawn Boy.

Wenn es eine Sache gibt, die ich nicht so gerne mag, dann ist es eine
Presseinfo zu
schreiben. Aber naja, irgendwie muss das ja sein. Also gut: Die letzten
zwei Jahre
waren unglaublich interessant. Seitdem ich die EP „Mistakes Included“ auf
die Welt
losgelassen habe (Welt == Deutschland, na gut, NRW) ist einiges passiert.
Eigentlich
wollte ich ja nur mal gucken, was so passiert. Dass dann aber so viel
passiert ist, hat
mich doch überrascht.
Blicken wir mal zurück: Die EP wurde veröffentlicht, mit der
Neuauflage wurden bisher
über 150 Stück verkauft und ich bin dankbar für jeden
einzelnen Käufer. Ich hätte
nicht gedacht, dass ich die Platte überhaupt noch nachdrucken muss.
Doch das
eigentliche Highlight waren die Konzerte. Nachdem ich bereits zuvor jede
Menge in
Velbert und Umgebung gespielt habe, wollte ich einfach raus. Und das ist
mir
gelungen: Hamburg, Kiel, Bielefeld, Hamm, Bonn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf,
Duisburg,
Schwelm, Hagen, Bochum, Oberhausen, Heiligenhaus, Wuppertal und
natürlich Velbert.

Pressestimmen
Zu seiner letzten Solo-EP „Mistakes Included“ gibt es zahlreiche
Pressestimmen. So
vergab das Onlinemagazin Handlemedown.de 7 von 10 Punkten und schrieb:
"Wer
noch so jung ist und in guten Momenten sogar ein kleines bisschen nach
Eddie Vedder
klingt, sollte sich darüber aber nicht den Kopf zerbrechen. Was nicht
ist, kann ja noch
werden. Bis dahin darf Mister Freyer weiterhin zu seinen poppigen
„Mistakes“ stehen.
Das ist allemal besser, als sich nicht auszuprobieren, um erst gar keine
zu machen."

"Fast wie in Trance lausche ich dem letzten Song der CD zu und stelle
fest, dass sich
der Titel des Albums “Mistakes Included” durch die CD zieht. Die Musik hat
Evan hier
nicht neu erfunden, aber das weiss er auch und das war auch nicht seine
Absicht. Man
merkt deutlich, dass es ihm wichtig ist zu singen - dabei spielt es keine
Rolle, ob alle
Töne exakt getroffen werden. Wenn er singt, dann ist er nicht mehr zu
halten und
genau das macht ihn so sympathisch. Da stören kleine Fehler absolut
nicht."
Auch live macht Evan Freyer eine gute Figur, wie die Westfalenpost beim
Auftritt beim
Return of Rock-Gig in Schwelm feststellt: "Einen Kontrast zu den
Schwermetallern auf
der Bühne mit den teilweise abgrundtief gestimmten und gnadenlos
verzerrten
Gitarren bot der Solokünstler Evan Freyer aus Wuppertal, der nur mit
einer
akustischen Gitarre und intelligenten Texten vor allem bei den weiblichen
Gästen sehr
gut ankam."

Wenn Jade Ell nicht alle Nase lang neue Projekte ins Leben rufen
würde, würden wir uns ernsthaft um sie sorgen ...

Ab sofort wird sie nicht mehr als Jade Ell, sondern als Ellen unterwegs
sein, auch auf deutschen Bühnen. Den Startschuß zu Ellen gab sie
in den letzten Tagen in Kopenhagen, wo das neue Programm jubelnd angenommen
wurde. Die ersten drei Musikvideos für das neue Album wurden kurz vor
Weihnachten in Kopenhagen gedreht.

ELLEN, das ist das aktuelle Solo-Projekt von Jade Ell. Momentan arbeitet
sie an dem ersten ELLEN-Album mit dem Titel "Mourning This
Morning". Die Hauptzutaten dieses Albums sind - neben dem Gesang -
Akkordeon, Glockenspiel, Cello und Piano. Auch werden einige interessante
Gäste hierauf vertreten sein, u. a. Petter Lindgard (Schweden) an der
Trompete und Hörnern, Emeli Jeremias (Schweden) am Cello und Lisa
Blaase (Dänemark) mit Gesangsunterstützung.

ELLENs Musik läßt sich in Kurzform so beschreiben: Man stelle
sich eine Musikbox vor, die zum Leben erweckt wird, einen desolaten
Vergnügungspark aus der Vergangenheit, alte Fotos sind auf dem Boden
verstreut, die eine Geschichte der Vergangenheit erzählen,
gefärbt wie ein Tintenfisch sind die Songs.

2010 wird Ellen ihr neues Programm in Deutschland darbieten, welches auf
der Konzertreise 2009 bereits in Elementen vorgestellt und vom Publikum
begeistert angenommen wurde.

Sarsaparilla is the music project of singer-songwriter and guitarist
Brandon Miller. Sarsaparilla's style changes between intimate folk waltzes,
ballads and garage punk blues. Originally from Philadelphia, Sarsaparilla

record entitled "ebb" at Berlin's own Echoplex Studios with
pianist, composer, and producer Nikola Jeremic. Webster Definition of
"ebb" 1: the reflux of the tide toward the sea 2: a point or
condition of decline. Sarsaparilla has been touring extensively over the

The Waterboys, The Wishing Well’s first album Life On The Border appeals to

Address to the nation...
I’m very excited about visiting Germany. I’ve got a bucket full
of new songs and a new album to promote. I’ll be coming
with a German vocabulary of four words: ‘hello’, ‘goodbye’,
‘please’ and ‘thankyou’... so any further education will be
gratefully accepted. Fortunately, music is a universal language
so I’ll let my songs do the talking!
This tour will be the first time overseas for my rhythm section,
Left Foot and Right Foot... who play the ‘Quaker Shaker’ and
the ‘Credit Crunch’ – homemade stomp boxes that use
reversed speakers as microphones!?
I’m looking forward to playing some songs from my new
album ‘Hollow’ (released February 2010) which I shall be
shamelessly plugging at shows. Apparently ‘it’s a bit of a beast’
according to Jabbo the Dog... and he should know.

Jack Stafford will be touring the US for ten weeks in
the Autumn (from September 16th until November
27th) across 20 different states. It’s his first US tour,
though he’s already well-known in Europe.
“I was born and raised in Suffolk in South-East England,
but grew up in Amsterdam after moving there
in my early 20s,” explained Stafford. “I had played in
a collage of coastal bands in England before packing
up and going traveling. It was Amsterdam that
caught my heart and I settled down, setting up a shop
literally, with a gallery space for selling the suits with
a zip that I perform in.”
He’s back solo on the on the lone high road now.
Playing upwards of 200 shows a year.
British troubadour set for long US tour

Stafford’s music is similar in spirit to artists like Ray
Davies and Elvis Costello, with lyrical and satirical songs
about hating your job, being unemployed, hating Woody
Allen, IKEA and wind farms.

Erik Penny, gerade von LA nach Berlin gezogen, spielt dermaßen gute
und
eingängige Musik, dass man sich fragt, ob nicht doch einige
Oasis-Songs in
Wirklichkeit von ihm stammen. Seine leicht angekratzte Stimme passt
perfekt
ins Bild, doch er macht deutlich mehr, als Klischees zu bedienen: Seine
Songs sind melodienreich und poetisch und sowohl unplugged als auch mit
Band
ein Ereignis.
Auch Gus Black hat dies sofort erkannt, ihn 2008 mit auf seine
Deutschland-Tournee genommen und als Dankeschön noch ein Video
für ihn
produziert. Momentan ist Erik in einem Berliner Studio und arbeitet an
neuem

Die beiden, immer höchst geschmackvoll gekleideten, Herren Nova &
Mäkkelä haben im
Herbst/Winter 2009 während einer vierwöchigen Tour ganze
Wagenladungen voll Herzen
gewonnen. Ist allerdings auch kein wirkliches Wunder. Da haben sich zwei
gefunden, bei denen
die Chemie passt. Das Berliner Gewächs Clark Nova (langjähriger
Tour-Buddy des großen Nikki
Sudden) und der permanent zwischen England, Finnland und Deutschland
herumtourende Finne

unkalkulierbare Bühnenpräsenz –
insbesondere bei den gemeinsamen Nummern – vereint schlicht
großartiges Songwriting mit
augenzwinkernder Spielfreude und das obwohl hier tendenziell eher
düstere Inhalte thematisiert
werden.
Wenn allerdings mit Jazz-Gitarre und Omnichord ein Dylan zitiert werden,
Mäkkelä's filigranes
Mandolinenspiel eine Nova'sche Townes van Zandt-Interpretation
konterkariert oder Nova bei
einem finnischen Mäkkelä-Song das Spielzeug-Piano bearbeitet,
stehen alle Genregrenzen
sperrangelweit offen. Das die beiden mit ihrer charmant-eleganten
Conference ebenfalls nichts
anbrennen lassen, funktionierte auf der vergangenen Tournee von Hamburger
Punk-Clubs über
Kulturläden im Niedersächsischen bis ins benachbarte Ausland
allerbestens.
Grund genug also für dieses Songwriter-Duo-Infernal eine große
Kelle nachzulegen. Im

Sincere, true and honest – three words to describe the music of Holmes, but
also three words to describe them as a band. When you meet Holmes
either through the speakers of your stereo, at the house of a friend or
live in concert you will soon realize that you have found a new friend. I
first
met Holmes in 2009 through their EP Storm and after playing those four
tracks for five or six hours straight during a rainy Friday afternoon I
soon
realized that I would have to get their debut album pronto, and 15 minutes
later I found myself at the local music store holding Wolves as carefully
as if it was made of glass, with a big grin on my face. A week later I
knew all the songs by heart and since then we have been like the best of
friends
– Holmes and I.
Holmes will welcome you from the very first tone and then carefully lead
you through stunning melodies and lyrics with gravity and intensity.
This is a band that will let you come along on tour, lend you a jacket
when you’re cold or hand you a cup of co
ee when you need it the most. Their
music is a feeling to wake up to with sounds that compliment your spring
walks in the sun and tones that will wag you to sleep, and it’s been
described as critics as both melancholic and epic, as well as a portrayal
of autumn dressed in music; steady and colorful, like a drizzling rain.
Holmes started out in Vänersborg, Sweden in 2003, but didn’t release
their debut album Wolves until five years later in November 2008. The
album was well received in international press and their most successful
European tour so far followed during the spring of 2009. Have I Told You
Lately That I Loathe You, the sophomore album from Holmes, is an
international a
air completed along with people they have been working with
in the past and know well. Just like for Wolves Anna Emilia Laitinen
located in Tampere, Finland made all illustrations for the artwork and the
recordings were done at Kepner Treg with Per-Ola Eriksson in
Göteborg, Sweden before being sent over for mastering by Carl Sa

did so well on Wolves, but this time with more confidence, a more vibrant
and raw sound, and more profound and aware lyrics. The only thing that
doesn’t surprise is the great sense for melodies that are brilliant as

Like most other bands from the Vänersborg area Holmes rehearse in the
old mental hospital in the small town that pretty much holds a black
canal, a big interest for music and a roundabout with a tiny statue of the
Ei
el Tower (Vänersborg is for some reason nick named Little Paris,
although no-one seems to remember why). And maybe it’s the combination of
a small town, a black canal and a whole lot of creativity that
somehow has made Holmes so sincere, so true and so honest. Just like a

Die drei Künstler werden gleichberechtigt die Bühnenzeit
miteinander teilen, und
es wird auch unbedingt zu einer Zusammenarbeit kommen!
The Alma Church Choir, Andreas Laudwein und Ronny Seiler, haben in den
letzten
Jahren unzählige Konzerte in Deutschland und dem benachbarten Ausland
gespielt.
Zwischen Oktober und November 2009 waren sie gemeinsam mit The Cedar aus
Bristol
(UK) für drei Wochen im Norden Deutschlands unterwegs.
Im diesem Frühjahr sind sie mit Peter Piek aus Leipzig einen Monat
lang sehr
erfolgreich in den USA getourt und haben dabei unter anderem bei SXSW in
Austin
ihre Musik vorgestellt.
Im Juli 2010 kommt ein gemeinsam mit dem Münsteraner Kunstprojekt
sozialpalast
realisierter Tourfilm ins Kino, der die Band im Sommer 2009 auf einer
Reise
entlang der Route der Industriekultur durch das Ruhrgebiet zeigt. Dabei
hatte
die Band Freunde wie Tom Liwa und den New Yorker Sänger Ian Fisher zu
Gast.

Eva Hillered ist eine Singer/Songwriterin aus Schweden. Das Licht der Welt
erblickte sie in Stockholm. Evas einzigartige, lebensfrohe Stimme ist das
Resultat ihres sehr frühen Karrierestarts. Sie arbeitete schon mit
vielen bekannten schwedischen Musikern, Produzenten und Sängern
zusammen.

Die Zusammenarbeit mit der berühmten Liedermacherin Eva Dahlgren in
Schweden und Anne-Grete Preus in Norwegen führte dazu, daß die
beiden Evas Debütalbum »Inte varför - utan hur«
(Nicht warum - Aber wie, Record Station) produzierten. Diese stark
melancholische Aufnahme mit auffallenden Melodien und großem Tiefgang
war 1989 nominiert für den schwedischen Grammy.

Bisher hat Eva sechs Soloalben herausgebracht. Sie tourte nicht nur in
Schweden, sondern auch in Deutschland, England, Irland, der Tschechischen
Republik und den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika.

Evas zweites Album wurde von Jonas Isaccson bekannt als Roxette-Gitarrist
produziert und kam 1990 heraus. »Stråets längd«
bekam hervorragende Kritiken und wurde oft im Radio gespielt.

Zu dieser Zeit arbeitete Eva viel, nicht nur als Sängerin, sondern
auch als Darstellerin in verschiedenen musikalischen Theaterdarbietungen.

Im Jahre 1991 schrieb sie die Musik für das Stück »Min
bror var enda barnet« (Mein Bruder war das einzige Kind) und spielte
sich darin selbst. 1992 schrieb Eva Text und Musik für ihre eigene
Schau »En kvinnas bekännelser« (Geständnisse einer
Frau). Die Darbietung war eine Mischung aus Bühnenkomidiantismus,
Poesie und Musik und wurde im Mosebacke in Stockholm gespielt. Das
Stück bekam exzellente Pressekritiken und ein Produzent von
Riksteatern gab Eva, nachdem er es gesehen hatte, eine Hauptrolle in einem
Musikstück über den bekannten Troubadur Cornelis VreesWijk. Mit
diesem Stück »Ballad på en soptipp« zog Eva eine
ganze Weile durch die Lande. Das Stück wurde ein enormer Erfolg;
innerhalb von zwei Jahren trat Eva über 150 Mal auf. Auch ein Album
mit einigen der Lieder des Stückes wurde veröffentlicht. Auf
diesem war Eva mit drei Liedern von Cornelis Vreeswijk vertreten.

1994 gründete Eva zusammen mit 5 anderen Liedermacherinnen das Label
Diva. Eine von Ihnen war Ebba Forsberg, die nun bei Maverick records unter
Vertrag ist.

Als erstes Projekt brachten die talentierten Liedermacherinnen eine
Sammel-CD heraus, zu der jede Künstlerin zwei Lieder beisteuerte. Eva
arbeitete mit dem amerikanischen Schlagzeuger Michael Blair zusammen der
schon mit Größen wie Tom Waits, Suzanne Vega, Elvis Costello und
einem der besten Gitarristen und Produzenten in Schweden, Lasse Englund,
zusammen gespielt hat. Die drei spielten und produzierten eins von Evas
Stücken für die Sammel-CD »Tolv spår från
Diva«, und so kam es zu der Zusammenarbeit mit dem grammynominierten
Produzenten Lasse Englund, der schließlich der Produzent von Evas
drittem Soloalbum »Jag vet« (Ich weiß, Diva Records 1995)
wurde. »Lebendiger schwedischer Pop mit Bedeutung« war eine von
vielen positiven Kritiken, die dieses Album bekam.

1995-1996 zog Eva mit einer Einfrauschau durch die Lande: »Eine
Aufstehkomödie und eine Hinsetztragödie über den
Geschlechtskrieg in Deinem Herzen«, mit Liedern ihrer Platte
»Jag vet«.

1997 wurde Eva gebeten, die Musik für ein Theaterstück zu
schreiben. Schließlich wurde sie auch die Produzentin und nahm ein
Album mit Stücken aus der Schau »Öppningsskedet« auf.
Sie hätte auch eine führende Rolle in dem Stück bekommen
wäre sie nicht mit ihrer Tochter Ella schwanger geworden.

Zwischen 1997 und 2001 konzentrierte sich Eva darauf, Lieder in Englisch
zu schreiben. Im Jahre 1998 traf sie den Häuptling und Professor Oren
Lyons vom Stamme der Onondaga, der sie inspierierte, viele Lieder über
die Gedanken der nordamerikanischen Indianer und deren Verhältnis zur
Erde zu schreiben. Im selben Jahr begann sie, mit einer anderen
schwedischen Liedermacherin, Annika Fehling, zusammenzuarbeiten. Als Duo
spielten sie als Solokünstler, wobei die jeweils andere
Hintergrundgesang und -spiel übernahm. Sie traten sowohl in kleinen
Klubs, als auch in der Globe Arena in Stockholm auf. Auch mehrere
Radiosendungen gestalteten sie gemeinsam und brachten 2001 die Platte
»Fehling & Hillered Live« heraus, bestehend aus drei
Stunden Fernseh- und Radiomaterial.

2002 besann sich Eva auf ihre schwedischen Wurzeln und verfaßte
wieder Texte in ihrer Muttersprache. Jetzt begann auch die Zusammenarbeit
dem dem jungen talentierten Gitarristen Göran Eriksson, der bereits
mit vielen der bekanntesten schwedischen Künstler wie Jill Johnsson,
Uno Svenningsson und Louise Hoffsten, um nur einige zu nennen,
zusammengearbeitet hat.

Eva und Göran starteten ein neues Projekt, dessen Ergebnis die Platte
»Hjärtats röda mening« (»Die rote Bedeutung des
Herzens«, Hawk Records 2004) war. Auch diese Platte bekam exzellente
Kritiken und wurde oft im Radio gespielt; die beiden Single-Auskopplungen
waren ein halbes Jahr in der Radio-P4-Liste.

Im August 2004 traf Eva den amerikanischen Liedermacher Dana Cooper aus
Nashville, mit dem zusammen sie das Lied »Life Line" schrieb,
welches auch das Titellied von Evas neuem Soloalbum »Life Line (Hill
Songs 2005)« wurde.

Im März 2005 tourte Eva mit Dana Cooper durch die Vereinigten
Staaten, danach begab sich Dana nach Schweden und sie setzten ihre Tour in
Schweden, Dänemark und Deutschland fort.

Im Herbst 2006 tourte Eva zusammen mit Sean Millar durch Irland.

Im Frühling 2006 war Eva zum »Folk Alliance« eingeladen,
wo sie die amerikanische Liedermacherin Christene Le Doux und die
schwedische Liedermacherin Lisen Elwin kennenlernte. Die drei
gründeten die Kapelle Black Sheep Girls, die 2006 durch Griechenland,
Schweden, Dänemark, England und die Tschechische Republik tourte.

2007 gründete Eva eine eigene Kapelle und begann eine Zusammenarbeit
mit dem berühmten Produzenten Coste Apetrea. Nach Rücksprache mit
ihrem amerikanischen Manager, beschlossen die beiden, ihren Stil
schwedischer zu gestalten.

Das Resultat ist eine Neuauflage der Platte »Hill Songs (Hill Songs
2008) «, die wiederum exzellente Kritiken in der schwedischen Presse
bekam. Eva begab sich in die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, wo sie von
Februar bis März 2008 durch die Lande zog und ihre neue Platte
präsentierte. Von März bis Mai stellte sie auf einer Tour diese
Platte auch in Schweden vor.

Neben Touren, Aufnehmen und Liederschreiben hat Eva Liedermachen über
viele Jahre gelehrt. 2009 hat der große Buchverlag Nordstedts ihr
erstes schwedisches Buch über Liedermachen, »Lathund för
Låtskrivare«, herausgebracht.

Wintergarten alias Oliver Krahl, ist kein Liedermacher im eigentlichem
Sinne.
Bei dem Wort Liedermacher denken viele Menschen sofort an Künstler
wie Reinhard Mey oder Hannes Wader. Aber in diese Schublade
passt der 33-jährige Hamburger nicht.
Seit 2007 schreibt er seine Songs selbst und komponiert auch die Melodien
dazu.
Nun ist er das erste Mal ganz alleine unterwegs auf seiner
„Steckerless-Tour“.
Auf dieser Tour gibt es eine Mischung aus Coversongs, die ihm am Herzen
liegen,
und eigenen Stücken, die im Laufe der letzten zwei Jahre entstanden
sind.

Es ist nicht leicht den rohen, unpolierten Sound des Trios gebührend
auf einen Tonträger zu bannen.
Denn die Musik von Planet Ersag lässt vom ersten Moment an eine
Dynamik entstehen, die ältere Zuhörer
an die frühen Ton, Steine, Scherben erinnern wird, während die
heutige Generation Planet Ersag eher mit
englischen Indiebands à la Libertines vergleichen würde. Im
Mittelpunkt stehen vor allem die Texte Vondráčeks.

Auf unnachahmliche Art und Weise beschreibt er Geschehnisse des Alltags,
verbindet Realität mit Imaginärem,
ohne jedoch die Bodenhaftung zu verlieren. Seine Liebeserklärungen
entfalten eine unkonventionelle romantische
Aura, herbeigeführt durch die ein oder andere ironische Pointe, aber
auch durch ergreifend ehrliche Passagen,
mit denen er nicht nur Mädchenherzen brechen dürfte.

So stehen seine bildhaften, von tiefer Melancholie und betrunkener
Lebensfreude geprägten Texte ganz in der
Tradition deutschsprachiger Texter wie zum Beispiel Sven Regener oder Rio
Reiser. Schließlich verleiht die kratzige,
Bob Dylan-artige Stimme des gebürtigen Tschechen den Texten einen
Tiefgang, von dem man sich ohne Widerstand
mitreißen lassen will.

Planet Ersag schlagen somit gekonnt eine Brücke vom so genannten
„Old-School-Punk“ zur heute populären Indie-Musik
und lassen dabei einen ausgefallenen Mix aus purer Energie und
romantischer Unbekümmertheit entstehen,
der vor allem ihre Konzerte zu einmaligen Erlebnissen macht.

youdid ist Sängerin und Songwriterin, kommt aus Hannover und macht
Powerpop mit englischen Texten.
Ihre Kompositionen spiegeln die komplette Bandbreite ihrer facettenreichen
musikalischen Laufbahn wider. Ihr ganzes Leben lang verfolgt youdid nur ein
Ziel: sie möchte beruflich Musik machen, auf der Bühne stehen und
ihre eigenen Songs veröffentlichen. So studiert sie nach dem Abitur an
der Hochschule für Musik & Theater Hannover Jazz/Rock/Pop-Gesang,
macht 2008 dort ihr Diplom und gewinnt kurz darauf den „Deutschen Rock
& Pop-Preis 2008“ in der Kategorie „Bester neuer Rock- &
Pop-Künstler “.
Die Krönung ihres Weges bis heute bildet die Veröffentlichung
ihres Debüt-Albums „who i am“ am 01. März 2010. Mit dieser CD

T.Basco - SONGS FROM THE MOBILE HOME - Melancholische Songkunst und
Geschichten.

Nach 15 Jahren Bluesjackets und jkbluesband und drei Alben als „travelin’
bluesman“ bog Jan Kubon von der Straße des Blues ab.

Die lange Zeit, die er in Tourvans gesessen, in lausig kalten
Autobahnraststätten auf launische Kassiererinnen gewartet hat, nutzte
Kubon aber immer, um an neuem eigenem Material zu arbeiten und Songs zu
schreiben. Seinen genialen Partner fand er in dem Pianisten Burkhard
Schmidt, der als Musiker mit Kubon in verschiedenen Bands tätig war.

1996 nahmen sie die ersten Tapes als T.Basco auf und traten dann auch mit
verschiedensten Musikern unter diesem Namen auf. 2003 gab es die
Initialzündung als Schmidt die Songs Kubons für Streicher,
Percussions und Piano im Zuge eines sehr speziellen Konzertes umarrangiert.
Mit diesem Moment war klar, dass die beiden ein Album produzieren wollten.
Nachdem mit der Universal ein Verlag und Artfullsoundproduction ein Label
gefunden wurde, gingen die beiden zuerst alleine ins Studio. Im Zeitraum
von fast zwei Jahren kamen dann die Strings und die restlichen Instrumente
dazu.

Herausgekommen ist das Album „SONGS FROM THE MOBILE HOME“. Ein Album mit
zwölf Songs zwischen Americana und Akustik und Pop mit
Indiezügen. Zwölf Hommagen an alle Verlierer dieser Welt, an die
Schattengestalten im Licht der Neonreklamen, an die Außerirdischen
unter uns, den verlassenen Liebhaber, der mit Kneipenzombies sich sein
Elend vertrinkt, an die alte Katze, die sich mal nicht auf dem Blechdach
räkelt, an den Franzosen, der lieber Bier als Wein trinkt und den
Detroiter Fabrikarbeiter, der lieber Polka als Blues hört. Sensibel,
ohne weinerlich zu sein, provokant, aber ohne Rockattitüde, laut, ohne
Stärke beweisen zu wollen - so dringen die Songs in das
Unterbewusstsein der Zuhörer. Pop ohne Charts.

Reduzierte, auf den Punkt gesetzte E-Gitarren der jungen Juliane Germer,
gefühlvolle Bigpoint Bassfiguren Lars Düselers,
hintergründig schwere Country and Folkdrums von Marco Phillipp, die
flirrenden Flutes und Mandolinen Thomas Dorschs und natürlich das
alles beherrschende Piano Burkhard Schmidts sind die Grundlage, auf der
sich der hundert Kilo Singer/Songwriter Jan Kubon mit seiner Akustikgitarre
und Stimme federnd und sicher bewegt als wäre die Schwerkraft ein
Begriff, den es in der T.Basco-Welt nicht gibt. Konzerte von T.Basco werden
zu emotionalen Highlights, da wird gelitten und gerockt, geweint und
gefeiert bis zur Selbstaufgabe.

Ein Dutzend Songs aus dem Wohnmobil auf der Straße ohne
Gefühlsbegrenzung.


Am 10.04.2006 wurde das Album „Songs from the mobile home“ in
Zusammenarbeit mit Heartdisco und Universal offiziell veröffentlicht
und den interessierten Hörern bei vielen Liveauftritten in Deutschland
und Luxemburg vorgestellt.

living on scraps, odds & ends & encounters...

back to Paris where he writes & records behind
locked doors his first album. 'OUEST' comes out
in Oct 2007 on the kill the DJ label.

The world agrees : Jason is a maverick. Even if it's all part of the game.
Following two years
of erratics concerts, a creative retrait, Jason takes to the road again.
This time, we leave the
open 'OUEST' landscape for the Bayou's lazy mangrove. Inspiration slides
from the
Dylan/Cohen vein to the cosmic hues of Barret & Lennon. In 'DOLDRUMS'
we get bogged
down but we get a breath of fresh air. Angles are filed, the sky lightens,
sounds are warmer,
composition more meaty.
Jason has left his caban door ajar & some unexpected ghosts have
invited themselves for
dinner: Hindu harmonium & voodoo keyboards, the double bass, trombone
& accordeon &
spanish guitar entwine. Jason has opened his thriftshop to lysergia, his
jazz musicians juggle
& improvise, before falling back on their crocked feet.
'Waltz replaces dust', a jugband under Codeine brings in a little colour.
From black & white...
to shades of green, this album has a pop tinge & cuts loose from the
skeleton minimalism of
the former 'OUEST'.
This set of fragile & glowing songs take us snaking through swampy
waters, between woe
begone love (Mystic Fandango, Oo, No Name), disillusioned with a broken
down world (Sun
Melt), in search for a pure life spring...
Despite the general collapse, Jason reminds us the sun will always rise
again (Tambourine)
& the world of the living is all sacred (John Brown). In 'OUEST',
Jason Edwards dowsed his
ranch with 'Bourbon'. The Hangover's oozed out. From the very words of the
guide Doldrums
sees 'psychedelic flowers growing here & there'. The guide will push
you to let go of his
hand. Because 'Doldrums' is a garden where you are required to get lost.

If I haven't lost you completely, then:
Hi. My name is Brook Pridemore. I sing and yell and play the guitar.
Sometimes I play the ukelele, and once in a while I play piano. There are
other instruments, too, but if I start picking them up, you should remind
me to stick to what I know.

I sing songs about redemption, loneliness, love, war, traveling and
staying in one place. I wrote most of the songs I sing, but some of them I
didn't.

Some things about me:

I don't believe music is an important thing. I believe music is the only
thing. If you want to talk about music, I'm down. I pretend to know
everything, but I'm always open to hearing new stuff. There are a few
things I can't stand to listen to anymore, but only a few.

I played two hundred and one shows in 2007, then broke that record in
2008, two hundred and eleven shows played. I'm no dummy, though. From here
on out, I'm happy to say, "I play two hundred shows a year."

If you make me a mixtape/cd, I'll make you one back.

I will play anywhere, any time, in front of anyone. Within reason.

I believe in the use of all words, regardless of context or connotation.

I have five albums, readily available, released by Crafty Records.

The fifth, and most recent, is called A Brighter Light. Thirteen songs
strong, it's punk and folk, but rarely punk folk. Also it's the first time
since the Kalamazoo days I've had a regular band to work with, so we had a
lot of time to really pound shit out before hitting the studio. Thanks, Dan
and Mike! It's definitely the most personal one I've made yet. I don't
think there's a single lie on the entire disc. If The Reflecting Skin was
"my Double Nickels on the Dime," I'd like this one to go down in
history as my "Dark Side of the Moon."

The fourth is called Brook Pridemore Sings Greatest Antifolk Hits. Eleven
of my favorite songs from the New York Antifolk Scene. Songs by Adam Green,
Kimya Dawson, Soft Black and more. It's mostly acoustic, but features guest
performances by Toby Goodshank, Dan Costello and Michael David Campbell.

The third is called The Reflecting Skin, featuring return performances by
Mikey Erg! and Adam Z, with the addition of accordion virtuoso Steve Seck,
and a host of guest vocalists including Toby Goodshank, Andrew Hoepfner,
David LK Murphy, Dan Costello, and the Ghost Mice (Chris, Hannah and
Pascaloo). Same studio, same engineer, but we didn't overthink things, and
I'm not fucking kidding when I refer to this disc as my Double Nickels on
the Dime.

The second is called First Name/Last Name, which is a big glossy studio
production, featuring drummer Mikey Erg!, Crafty house bassist Adam Z, and
guest contributions from Guitar Bomb and Hallie Unloveable. The production
quality is slicker than owl shit, but I think the songs will stand the test
of time.

The first is called Metal and Wood, and is a collection of the best
recordings I made in my home state of Michigan. When I first heard it, I
thought it sounded better than the minimal effort I put into making it.

Jedes der zahlreichen Konzerte Markus Segschneiders ist ein Erlebnis der
besonderen Art : Penibel ausgearbeitete Songs mit Tiefgang und virtuoses
Gitarrenspiel in selten gehörter Einheit. Markus Segschneider
verfügt als
Gitarrist über ein ungeheuer großes Repertoire an Stilmitteln,
die sich in seinen
Kompositionen nahtlos miteinander verbinden. Ein “brillanter musikalischer
Spaziergang durch Stimmungen, Klangwelten und Landschaften, der vom
Publikum begeistert aufgenommen wird” (Konzertkritik).
Markus Segschneider werden seit einiger Zeit “umwerfendes Gitarrenspiel”
(Bridge guitar reviews) und eine “überbordende Ideenvielfalt”
(Akustik
Gitarre) attestiert. Diese Eigenschaften brachten ihm einen Vertrag beim
renommierten Label Wonderland ein, bei dem Ende 2008 die akustische
Sologitarren-CD “Woodcraft” erschien. In Erscheinung getreten ist der
Kölner
bislang im Rahmen einer bereits unüberschaubaren Anzahl
vielfältiger
musikalischer Projekte, so z.B. als Mitglied diverser Bandformationen,
gefragter Studiomusiker, Arrangeur und Komponist. Mehr als 80 CDs
entstanden bisher unter seiner Mitwirkung (Stand 2008).
Viele Spieltechniken der Akustikgitarre sind auf “Woodcraft” und in den
Konzerten zu hören - dass diese nicht zum Selbstzweck geraten, liegt
an den
betörenden Melodien, einer aussergewöhnlichen harmonischen
Sprache und
einer Spielfreude, die unmittelbar in ihren Bann zieht.

Nick and Liesl - bio

An enchanting duo. Two unique voices, flowing harmonies and
captivating songs seem to bring Nick and Liesl a loving reception
wherever they go. Their distinctive sound is the coming together of
two singer/songwriters with influences ranging from Nick's love of Cat
Stevens and James Taylor to Liesl's classical songbooks and the local
folk music of her childhood home Sweden. Although only two people,
the pair present a sound that fills large theatres and small village
churches alike. Their stories are many and varied, as is their
performance, with each switching between instruments along to the
ever-present stomp box and tambourine.

After forming while on tour in Europe in early 2007, Nick and Liesl
first gained recognition as a brilliant live act performing at
festivals throughout Australia, supporting artist such as Kate
Miller-Heike (Sony BMG), Harry Manx, Kasey Chambers and Shane
Nicholson (EMI) as well as doing a featured performance at the ABC
awards in Newcastle. In 2008 Nick and Liesl completed their second
European tour playing to packed venues and festivals in Sweden,
Germany & the UK before returning home to launch their debut EP Wyong
River at The Basement in Sydney. Both local and international
recognition earned them an invitation to Popkomm in Berlin as part of
an Australian showcase along with artists Clare Bowditch and Sarah
McCleod. While continuing with their success on the Australian
festival circuit the EP received an ABC award, national airplay on ABC
and Triple J and an inclusion on Home Grown Roots Vol 3 along with
artists Paul Kelly, John Butler, Mia Dyson, Ash Grunwald and Karl
Broadie.

Described by Drum Media (Sydney) as "a more melodic Waifs…a grown-up
Angus & Julia Stone".

Biografi
Lotta Wenglén är låtskrivare , sångerska och
gitarrist från Malmö

Banden
1996 bildade Lotta och två vänner spretiga trion ba-ba-loo
där hon skrev låtarna, sjöng och spelade gitarr. Bandet
spelade in plattan Frosting-the american way i danska Mega Records regi och
den släpptes i Skandinavien 1998. Singeln "X marks the spot"
roterade en hel del på radio, framför allt i Danmark och
Finland. Bandet spelade förband till Ryan Adams Whiskeytown i
Skandinavien sommaren 1998. Lotta och basisten Uffe Larsen tog senare in
två nya medlemmar i bandet och bytte namn till bobby ray som bl.a.
spelade på Malmöfestivalen och under Popstad 2000 i Malmö.

2001 antog Lotta erbjudandet att bli en av medlemmarna i
låtskrivarbandet Five Star Motel tillsammans med Claes Dorthé
och Magnus Tingsek med spelningar i Malmö, kvällar de delade med
Stacey Earle och Loosegoats. 2002 ändrades konstellationen och Daniel
Frank och Andreas Ejnarsson från Helsingborgsbandet Ben anslöt
sig till Lotta och Claes. En gång i månaden fungerade de
husband med inbjudna gäster på The Tivoli i Helsingborg
hösten/vintern 2002.

2007. Förutom i sitt soloprojekt så kan man idag även
uppleva Lotta tillsammans med Cecilia Nordlund i hejdlöst
ohämmade goth/funk trion Sunshine Rabbits samt i Sveriges mest
stjärnspäckade coverband Up The Mountain med bland annat Lasse,
Bengt och Magnus från The Cardigans.


Solo
Lotta Wenglén fick i fiol sitt debutalbum Golden Green utgivet.
Albumet bestod av låtar skrivna under en period då staden och
längtan ut ur den drog henne i varsin arm. Duetten "The hard
part´s to stay" skrev Lotta speciellt till sig själv och
den amerikanske låtskrivarlegenden Chip Taylor (Wild thing, Angel of
the morning, Son of a rotten gambler m.fl.) som hon mötte då hon
gästsjöng med honom under hans Skandinavienturné 1999.
På varsin sida av havet hittade sången sin väg och sedan
dess har Lotta och Chip spelat ihop då han besökt Sverige.
Lotta och hennes band värmde upp till Terry Lee Hale och Jason
Ringenberg 2001. Hon har även besökt de olika Woodyklubbarna runt
om i landet.

Efter debutskivan skrev Lotta nya sånger, fem av dessa formade ep:n
Scratch, med release, genom sitt eget nystartade skivbolag Margit Music, i
maj 2002. Sångerna kretsade här ofta kring samma ämne och
då Lotta fann att en sång inte skulle kunna rymma alla tankar,
fick orden visa vägen genom de olika musikaliska landskapen som varje
sång kom att representera. Till skillnad från Golden Green, som
var en produktion där låten endast gavs det den behövde
för att hållas uppe, lät Lotta varje sång på
ep:n avgöra vad den behövde med hjälp av bandet som spelat
ihop med henne det senaste året.

I samband med inspelningarna av ep:n påbörjade Lotta och
musikerna instrumentgrunderna för låtarna hon skrivit till nya
albumet. Flertalet av sångerna hade hon och bandet redan spelat ihop
vid olika framträdanden. Arrangemangen kändes därmed
väldigt självklara och inspelningarna flöt fint framåt
med påtaglig livekänsla vilket också var målet
då Lotta kände att det mest naturliga i nuläget var att ta
ut svängarna fullständigt i varje låt om den bjöd in
till det. Resultatet blev en direkt platta med namnet Paintbrush vilket,
förutom att det är titeln på en av sångerna, på
ett bra sätt beskriver arbetet i och kring låtmaterialet.
”Ambassador of love” från plattan blev första singeln ut i
oktober 2002 och här visade Lotta sin nyckfullhet genom att arbeta med
stora kontraster mellan vers och refräng och på sitt personliga
vis slänga in ett stick som helt bryter av låten, men samtidigt
förenar de olika partierna. Ett låtskrivarsätt som kommit
att bli ett signum för Lottas musik.

Lotta färdigställde sitt tredje fullängsdalbum Ask Harry
2005 där samtliga sånger blev inspelade hemma vid datorn i
Hököpinge Kyrkby där hon bodde då. Den här
gången valde hon att göra det mesta själv. Från att
producera, spela in när allt känns rätt och sedan bjuda in
musiker för att förstärka melodierna.
Rakt upp och ned med två mickar, gitarren i knät, en tagning
och sedan på med en gammal Poly 800. Andreas Ejnarsson tog tag i
mixen hemma vid datorn i Råå.

Samma år skrev Lotta och spelade in all musik till
dokumentärfilmen om Ingvar, en f.d missbrukare från
Göteborg. Filmaren Jessica Nettelblad har följt Ingvar i
nästan tre år och Lotta kom in i den kreativa processen när
det närmade sig klippning av materialet.

In The Core är Lottas fjärde soloalbum som hon ger ut genom egna
skivbolaget Margit Music hösten 2007. Liksom tidigare producerar hon
och spelar in de flesta låtarna i egen studio. Bjuder in vänner
till att spela och sjunga, göra videos och gästa på
spelningar. Christoffer Lundquist (Brainpool) och Katharina Nuttall (Ane
Brun) har producerat och spelat på varsin låt på plattan.


Det här albumet skiljer sig ganska mycket från tidigare
produktioner då det är smutsigare i ljudbilden och ganska
långt ifrån den singer/songwriter gengre som Lotta förut
placerades i. Som alltid är det Lottas sätt att skriva
låtar på som blir den röda tråden genom plattan.
Detta är ett vackert, svart, kraftfullt, hoppfullt, vemodigt, ilsket,
direkt och påtagligt uppriktigt album.


I höst åker Lotta och bandet på turné. Bandet ser

Infos Fredy Rotten - looking for shows in Europe
Fredy Rotten is the soloproject of Zatokrev’s band leader Frederyk Rotter.
Inspired by holy natur and singer-songwriters like Nick Drake, Neil Young,
Johnny Cash, Steve Von Till, just to tell a few, Fredy Rotten recorded a 2
song demo in the beginning of the year 2008. His debut album will see the
light of salvation in 2010.

Wahnsinnig, weise, wehleidig (manchmal) und witzig (meistens): Die
„wunderbare Wimmer“ (Hamburger Abendblatt) bedient sich aus dem Bauchladen
der Popgeschichte und bringt zusammen, was noch nie zusammen gehörte.
Duke Ellington, Tom Waits, The Cure und Antonio Carlos Jobim werden mit
deutschsprachigen Interpretationen versehen, die es in sich haben – den
Jazz und den Bossa Nova, den Swing und den Blues, den Tango und, jawohl,
lupenreine Polka. Zwischen den Liedern erzählt sie haarsträubende
Geschichten über immer was anderes und improvisiert sich um Kopf und
Kragen. All das geschieht mit griffsicherer Unterstützung von Markus
Glossner an Hammondorgel-Imitat, Fender Rhodes und Rhythmus-Maschinerie.

Wiebke Wimmer ist Sängerin, Schauspielerin und Autorin. Anfang der
90er Jahre sang die gebürtige Sylterin gemeinsam mit Ina Müller
und Edda Schnittgard bei Queen Bee. Das Hamburger Publikum kennt sie auch
als Akteurin des Improvisationsheaters Steife Brise.

Falco –TRIO-, eine Band die es schafft, den Zuhörer mit einfachen
Melodien & leichten Texten, die oft nur den kleinen Moment beschreiben,
zu verzaubern.

Ihre erste CD „Way I feel“ erschien Anfang 2009 mit dem Kürzel
–SOLO-DUO-TRIO-. Ohne Plattenfirma, Management oder Vertrieb wurde die CD
in Eigenregie aufgenommen & produziert. Musikalische Unterstützung
gab es von vielen befreundeten Musikern.

Persönliche Erlebnisse, kleine fiktive Geschichten, das grosse Thema
Liebe & der oft daraus entstehenden Herzschmerz – das sind die Themen

Mitte 2006 gab Falco die ersten –SOLO- Konzerten, schnell bekam er
Unterstützung von Fidi Steinbeck am Cello und aus dem –SOLO- wurde ein
–DUO-. Knapp ein Jahr später kam Frederik Möller am Piano dazu
und das –TRIO- war geboren. In diesen knapp 3 Jahren wurden 100 Konzerten
im Norddeutschen Raum absolviert, erste internationale Gehversuche in
Amsterdam gewagt & Supports gespielt für Jami Faulkner (AU),
Björn Kleinhenz (SE), Polite Sleeper (USA), Spencer Bohren (USA) &
Bergitta Victor (Berlin).

Seit 2010 entschloss man sich der Einfachkeitshalber nun für das
feste Kürzel –TRIO-.

"The next small thing", so titelten .klein noch im Jahr 2006.
Hochgelobt von der Presse folgte die übliche Ochsentour: Tourneen im
Kleinwagen, Festivalauftritte beim HALDERN OPEN AIR und auf der FUSION,
Konzertreisen quer durch Deutschland und wieder zurück, Supportshows
mit und für Polarkreis 18, Kashmir und anderen. Irgendwann hat die
Zurückhaltung wohl genervt, jemand hatte einen Verzerrer gefunden und
den Beat aufgedreht. Auch personell hat man sich auf dem neuen Album in
Richtung einer beachtlichen Straßengang entwickelt, die Frauen
singen, die Altvorderen spielen auf der Klarinette, es wird sogar im
Supermarkt getanzt.

.klein haben – bildlich gesprochen – die Landschaftsmalerei aus dem
Blickwinkel der Großstadt für sich entdeckt: gitarrig, poppig,
in traurigem Wohlklang, durchsetzt mit knisternden, schnarrenden,
plokkernden und rascheligen Elektronika, die aus den Zimmern, in denen sie
entstand, nach draußen drängt.

About

Robert Plant said he liked what he heard when I supported him at a gig.
His band - The Strange Sensation - stood behind him in my dressing room,
nodding. They told me later that it was rare for him to visit the
supportning bands dressing room. When he came to Stockholm for another show
a few years later, he even asked the promoter about me. As a Zeppelin fan
this was a big moment for me...

Some background

The past years I've toured Europe with Irya Gmeyners (Urga, Cirkus
Cirkör, Iryas Playground) band as a bass player and backup vocalist
with guests such as Conny Nimmersjö (Bob Hund, Bergman Rock, Ossler)
and Ebbot Lundberg (The Soundtrack of Our Lives). I joined lo-fi rock band
If They Ask Tell Them We're Dead, on the bass and back up vocals. I also
teamed up with Golden Kanine as a cellist and backup vocalist and played
the bass and sang back up vocals with all-female metal band Imber. During
the summer of 2009 I teamed up with country band Up The Mountain with
members from the Cardigans, and did some shows as a substitute band member
for Lotta Wenglén.

Writing and recording the album

When touring Mexico 2007 at obscure bars and venues, I was reminded of how
much I missed my own music. I had been working on plan B for too long. No
more compromizes.

A turning point for my music was when recieving a ukulele for my birthday.
New ways of creating music inspired and a new sound started to take form.

I recorded the ideas in my studio during late nights. Experimenting with
effect pedals for everything from the ukulele to my vocals and the cello. I
didn't have the intention of using the first demo takes of the songs. But
when developing the material I realized that I couldn't re-record it with
the same trembling, exposed, honest atmosphere as the first recordings. So
I chose to keep the delicate expression in the first takes rather than
strive towards technical and musical perfection.

During spring of 2008 I met Andi Almqvist who introduced me to Ola Frick
(Moonbabies). I was working on a song at the time which I felt had great
potential. Little did I know that it needed the voice of Andi Almqvist to
be complete. Said and done I recorded his vocals on Spelling Words just
days after meeting him for the first time. I teamed up with Ola Frick for
some mixing sessions. He thought the material was as good as complete with
its intimate lo-fi sound. Despite this he managed to give some extra edge
to the songs he mixed and put his finger prints on especially Spelling
Words and The Conflict.
The last touch was when teaming up with drummer Erik Nilsson (Irya, Ane
Brun, Nina Kinert) earlier this year during a weekend in Stockholm. After
playing with him for several years I knew he'd understand what I wanted for
my music.

People have compared my new material with Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Mark
Lanegan, PJ Harvey, Björk, Nine Inch Nails etc. I've tried not to put
words in peoples' mouths because I appreciate their spontaneous reactions
of my music.

Finally

With downfalls comes strength and acceptance. To be honest to oneself
becomes more important because in the end it's all you've really got. And
with this comes awareness and humor. It's important to be able to laugh at
yourself. This time I'm not afraid. When writing my biography page, I'm no
longer expressing myself in third person - hiding behind what I wanted
people to believe was someone elses words about me and my achievments. I
write, play, record, mix, produce and release my own music. I have some
people to thank for that confidence though; Bad Taste Records, Golden
Kanine, If They Ask Tell Them We're Dead, Lennart Persson, Ola Frick
(Moonbabies), Pange Öberg, Irya Gmeyner, Magnus Svennigsson (The
Cardigans), Andi Almqvist, Bebe Risenfors (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and

„Dear Lament…“ sind vier Persönlichkeiten wie sie unterschiedlicher
nicht sein könnten. Was auf den ersten Blick aussieht wie die
Standard-rock’n’roll-Besetzung aus Gesang, Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug
wird bei genauerem Hinsehen zu einem Sammelsurium an Spielerei,
Ausprobieren und Ausdruck genau dieser Charaktere.

Hier noch ein Sampler, da eine ganze Batterie an Bodeneffekten, vorne ein
Megaphon und hinten Glitzerkanonen sind nur ein kleiner Auszug der Details
welche „Dear Lament…“ von genau diesem Standard abheben.

„Handle with care“. Heisst soviel wie „bitte mit Vorsicht behandeln.“
„Mit Vorsicht behandeln“ genau deshalb weil es ein langer Prozess war,
dieses Album zu dem werden zu lassen wie es jetzt ist. Nach langem
Schreiben und Warten, Ideen enstehen lassen und verwerfen, mühevoller
Kleinst- und Feinarbeit und natürlich die zahlreichen fruchtbaren
Ausflüge ins Livegefilde, ist der Punkt vollster Zufriedenheit aller
Vier nun erreicht. Und ihr könnt mir glauben, es war nicht einfach und
man hat nicht nur eine Nacht vor Aufregung und ungeduldigem Abwarten
wachgelegen.

Das Besondere an dieser CD ist, dass es keine Einschränkungen gab,
keine Regeln, keine Vorlagen.
Von Anfang an war klar, bei diesen Akteuren darf niemand von vornherein
das Script schreiben. Angefangen bei den Kompositionen, über die Art
der Aufnahme, Arrangements und Lokalitäten hin zum Artwork, Aussehen
und Verpackung des Ganzen. Alles selbstbestimmt und eigenständig,
meist unkonventionell, aber immer professionell. Voll kleinster Details und
Spielereien. Liebevoll gestaltet in Bild und Ton. Das Baby ist da. Aber
bitte vorsichtig damit umgehen!

4 Menschen mit 4 Visionen. 4 Visionen mit einem Ziel. Gute Musik.

"Hello, my name is Stefano and I have these songs about
feelings." Das ist sein erster Satz auf der Bühne und ich habe
gemessen an seiner Erscheinung mit etwas ganz anderem gerechnet. Stefano
ist Italiener. Ein Baum von Mann mit riesigen Händen, ständig
umherlaufend, rastlos und voller Energie. Solche Menschen machen mich
eigentlich nervös. Als er anfängt zu singen, weiss ich, dass dort
vorne jemand von den Besonderen sitzt denen es gelingt, ihre Unruhe
für einen Moment in etwas zu transformieren das kurz da ist, aber
lange nachhallt. Stead, das ist ein aus seinem Namen gebildetes Akronym,
singt von der Suche nach Stille, der Sehnsucht nach dem Glück das man
nicht halten kann. Er spielt ein Lied von dem Mädchen aus Glasgow.
Gemeinsam mit ihrem Klavier wohnt sie im fünften Stock und malt.
Tagsüber arbeitet sie und trägt ein dazu ein Kleid das zeigt was
sie nicht ist. Stead hat sie nie kennen gelernt, aber irgendwie ist das
Mädchen aus Glasgow ja auch er selbst. Da ist der Froschprinz, der
zuhört und mit ihm lacht und weint und der weiß, das die
Froschprinzessin eines Tages zurückkehren wird. Der Mann der sich die
fragt ob es Betrug sei, nach einem schwierigen Leben mit einem Lächeln
auf den Lippen zu sterben.Da ist das andere Ich von dem er hofft es
möge eines Tages gewinnen. Er klagt, aber beklagt sich nicht. Er ist
traurig, nicht wehleidig. Im Grunde ist Stead Optimist. Ich glaube das
andere Ich hat längst schon gewonnen.

September 13, 1978 in Ragusa auf Sizilien, lebt seit seinem vierten
Lebensjahr in Mailand. 1998 ist er Sänger von Mud Hair Jongleur, die
Band veröffentlicht in Italien zwei Alben und tourt mit Johnny Lang
und Deep Purple. 2005 zieht Stefano nach New York und trifft hier im
Greenwich Village auf eine für ihn neue Musik, die ihn wegführt
von der Aggressivität der Bandjahre hin zu eher introvertiertem und
reflektierendem Songwriting. Seit seiner Rückkehr nach Mailand reist
Stefano durch Europa und spielt Shows von Nizza, über Berlin,
Malmö nach Dublin, mit Künstlern wie Dave Muldoon, Kat Frankie,
Lisa Papineau und Poems for Laila. 2008 erscheint eine erste Sammlung
seiner Lieder auf CD, eine weiteres Album entsteht zur Zeit in Mailand mit
Cesar Basile, unter Mitwirkung von Roberta Cartisano, Marcello Sorge, Luca
Recchia und Dave Muldoon.

Die Hamburgerin Katriana beehrt uns wieder im Prinz Willy: Sie
präsentiert neben neuen Songs ihr zweites Album, das zwar „In meinem
Kopf“ heißt, vor allem aber mitten ins Herz trifft. Eine Stimme, ein
Piano, ein Cello: Mehr braucht es dazu nicht.

abzurutschen, sondern so einfache wie treffende Worte für Gefühle
zu finden, die jeder kennt, der schon einmal (unglücklich) verliebt
war.
Und damit ist das Feld der 33-Jährigen noch lange nicht abgesteckt:
Mal wirft sie einen feministischen Blick auf die Diskrepanz zwischen
äußerer Schönheit und innerer Einsamkeit, mal gibt sie
augenzwinkernde Kommentare zum Häschen-in-der-Grube-Syndrom oder der
eigenen Lebenssituation.

Im Mittelpunkt steht die Liebe: Die Stuttgarter Band Love The Love

„Love The Love bietet Geschichten von hier und nebenan, in denen sich
jeder wieder findet. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Liebe, dargeboten in teils
fröhlichen, teils melancholischen Liedern mit englischen Texten“,
charakterisiert Sandra Pfeiffer ihre Musik. Mit ihrer sanften, aber
kraftvollen Stimme prägt die Sängerin den Sound der Band Love The
Love. Ihr Mann Michael Pfeiffer untermauert die Songs zwischen Pop, Elektro
und Rock mit eingängigen Gitarrenriffs.

Das Paar hat alle Lieder selbst komponiert. Mittlerweile stehen der Mann
aus Eckernförde und die Stuttgarterin seit fast zehn Jahren zusammen
auf der Bühne. Nach vielen Jahren als Mitglieder der Stuttgarter
Coverband High Spirits gründeten sie im Juli 2008 Love The Love. Beide
spielen seit früher Jugend Gitarre und treten nun entweder unplugged
auf oder zusammen mit ihrem Spaceteam, also mit E-Gitarre, Schlagzeug, Bass
und Keyboard.

Zweiundzwanzig Auftritte sind für 2010 bereits gebucht, darunter in
der Goldenen Krone in Darmstadt, im Zimmer 16 in Berlin und zum allseits
beliebten und etablierten Stuttgarter Sommerfest im August. Auch eine CD
hat das Duo 2009 produziert: „This World“ kommt dieses Jahr heraus. Ein
hoffnungsvoller Start für die Band Love The Love, die Popmusik vom
Feinsten bieten möchte. „Wer sehnt sich in dieser hektischen Zeit
nicht nach etwas Tiefgang? Oder will sich einfach in eine Oase
zurückziehen, in der man genießen kann“, erklärt sich

Die dänische Sängerin, Texterin und Komponistin Clara Bryld hat
gerade ihr neues Album „On your wall“ fertiggestellt, erscheinen wird es in
Deutschland am 05. November 2010. Eine großartige Melange aus
Chanson, Jazz und anspruchsvollem Singer-Songwriter Pop.



In Dänemark lange kein Geheimtipp mehr, startet Clara Bryld jetzt
auch international durch. Auf den heimischen Bühnen in Dänemark
für gewöhnlich mit größeren Ensembles, wird sie auf
ihrer ersten Deutschlandtour in einer (durchweg weiblichen) Triobesetzung
unterwegs sein.



In der Vergangenheit hat Clara Bryld u.a. mit Künstlern wie der

dem britischen Komponisten DJANGO BATES gearbeitet. Sie hat außerdem
für zahlreiche Film- und Theaterproduktionen die Musik komponiert.

Jazzfestivals zu sehen.

„Ich und mein Tiger“

Endlich ist es so weit: Die Band „Ich und mein Tiger“ veröffentlicht
ihre langersehnte, erste CD „Und all die anderen Leben“. Seit nun mehr
über drei Jahren spielen sich die drei Musiker in halb Deutschland die
Finger wund: In Dörfern, Kleinstädten und Metropolen, in kleinen
Kneipen, Couchbars und auf Festivals. Ohne Schlagzeug spielen sie Musik,
die trotzdem rockt. Mit ihren Texten schaffen sie es immer wieder das zu
sagen, was viele fühlen aber wenige ausdrücken können.

Ihr Ziel: Eine Musik zu machen, die bewegt, wo sie trifft; in den Herzen,
den Köpfen, den Füßen. Ihr Mittel: Alles so einfach wie
möglich halten. Akustische Instrumente, einfache Songs. Ein bisschen
mehr Wut, ein bisschen mehr Mut. Auf den einen, den entscheidenden Punkt
gebracht. Wer mit seinem Tiger spazieren geht, konzentriert sich besser
aufs Wesentliche.

Das neue Album “Und all die anderen Leben” folgt genau dieser Devise.
Über den Zeitraum von einem halben Jahr entstanden im heimischen
Wohnzimmer 11 Songs, die sich an der Direktheit und Intimität eines
“Ich und mein Tiger”-Konzertes orientieren. Zwei Gitarren, ein Kontrabass
und deutscher Gesang. Mit bewusst wenigen Elementen und mit rein
akustischer Instrumentierung schaffen es die drei Musiker besondere Momente
zu erschaffen - auf der Bühne und jetzt auch auf CD.

Geboren in Hildesheim in Niedersachsen, aufgewachsen auf dem Lande in der
Nähe von Hamburg verschlug es Nils 2006 zum Leben, Arbeiten und
Musizieren in die Hansestadt. Momentan studiert und musiziert er in
Bielefeld in Ostwestfalen. Nach verschiedenen Bandprojekten quer durch
Genreschubladen entschied sich der Songwriter 2008 für den Alleingang,
reduziert auf das Wesentliche, Stimme, Gitarre und Gefühl.

Seine erste EP „Das hier ist nicht die Welt" hat Nils im März
2009 zusammen mit Freund Hannes Rasmus aufgenommen. 50 Cent jeder CD gehen

Five years ago Tim Lothar started playing guitar. Now only five years
later he has released two solo albums, both with raving reviews world wide.
He also recieved two of the major danish blues awards, and has toured eight
countries so far. In five years.

Tim Lothar, born in Denmark in 1968, started his musical career as a
drummer, playing all over Europe with the band
”Lightnin’ Moe”, now put on hold for an indefinite period of time.
A few years ago, after 25 years behind his drum kit, Tim Lothar began
cultivating singing and playing acoustic guitar to explore classic American
Delta Blues.

With an indisputable talent and great musical insight Tim began a whole
new career as a solo performer, and very quickly issued his debut-CD, ”Cut
To The Bone” in 2006.
The CD received raving and enthusiastic reviews at home and abroad, for

Singer-Songwriter (Südafrika)

Ein Mann von Welt, dieser Thomas Channell. Geboren wurde der Pianoman in
Sydney, seine Jugend verbrachte er in Stellenbosch (Südafrika), die
Reife zum Songwriter und Performer hat er schließlich in New York
City erlangt. Dort spielte Channell im CBGB’s, der Knitting Factory, dem
Bitter End, Cornelia Street Café und The Living Room, wo man seine
tiefgründigen Lieder zu schätzen wusste. Die Downtown-Presse
sprach von einem Liebeskind, das einer Orgie entsprungen ist, an der Tori
Amos, Rufus Wainwright, Kurt Vonnegut und k.d. lang teilgenommen haben.
Seit 2007 wohnt er in Berlin. Sein zweites Album, The Seduction of Thomas
Channell, erschien 2009.

Labrador, aka Flemming Borby, is an international artist from Copenhagen,
Denmark, living in Berlin, Germany.

The first 3 Labrador-Cds were releaseed in Scandinavia, Germany and Japan,
and you can find Labrador-songs on samplers from all over the world.

Labrador has been touring in Denmark, Germany, France, Japan and U.K.

The style of Labrador is lounge-pop, inspired of the best pop-artist form
the 60’s and 70’s.

The latest Labrador album “Caleidoscope Aeroplane” (2008/2009), was
recorded in Cuba with local studiomusicans such as trumpetist Alex Abreu
(Isaac Delgado, Pablo Milanez, Buena Vista Social Club).
